[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] binocs Posted by shphtr on May 28 2005 for me: 8 x 30 or there abouts, once the game is found (after all that's what I use the binocs for), the animal is studied, if appropriate, with the spotting scope. Since the binocs live around my neck only coming off when I prepare to crawl into the tent something larger is not only obnoxious to climb with but I do not gain that much if anything regarding my intended goal for the binocs (e.g. game location) with 10 or 12 power and 50mm objectives. That's my reasoning and approach for sheep hunting. For moose and bear weight considerations and availoable light conditions mandate some alterations regarding optimal equipment. Personal preference is the unique component for each hunter. This is the way I do it. Hope this is of value to you. Good luck. Previous: field glass's Byron_Lamb May 29 2005 Message Thread:
