Read Michaels comments re the big moose and the cows...twice. You want a moose over 50" you'll need to find cows...that's where the big bulls will be Sept 10-20. They will be bunched-up, and unless you are within a 100 yards of the big bull & his girls your calling will not be effective except for pulling in an inferior bull. When you fly in you need to know where the big guy & his honeys are...camp a half mile away..."Rambo" stalk him in the morning from downwind.

I'm not familar with the McGrath area, but offer the following: Find an area 3000'-4000' ASL, with water...the water doesn't have to be more than a acre pond or swamp. This area should have lots of willow...most of the willow will be 4ft high or less.
