is not a bear. A bear will tear it up. They are not secrative when they hit. I put logs as big as I can find and move on top and they still chuck those suckers 5 to 10 feet away.
Put out a sand pad by the bait and sweep it clean then look for tracks. Also put some duct tape on backwards by the can to grab hair and you will see what you have. In washington that would tell us what color bear we had as well.
