Gun - The 12 guage will take down a caribou, etc, but I don't beleive that it's an ideal weapon. Caribou country is typically flat with little cover. Long distance shots are the norm, so a rifle will be better suited to caribou, as well as moose and bear hunting. If you want to take the three species you listed there, I'd recommend at least a 30-06, but most would probably say a .300 or bigger. For caribou and sheep I like flat shooting. For bears and moose, knock-down power. Your 3x9 scope will be fine, though you may end up wanting a spotting scope as well.
Coons - Nope, no raccoons. There are other trapping and varmit hunting opportunities, but no coons.
4-wheel drive - You'll thank yourself for having it when the first snowstorm hits.
4-wheeler hunting - If you're on the road system, there are lots of options. Be aware, though, that you'll likely have lots of company if you're hunting off a 4-wheeler. I use atvs sometimes, but have grown to prefer walk-in hunting.
