i took an honest 10'10" b.c. bear in oct., 1997. it is possible. the bear won the n.a.h.c. rifle award for b.b. that year. i have the whole thing on video, it still amazes me. he took 5 fatal hits from .340 wthby 250 n.p. and still kept getting up. after the fourth hit the gun ran dry and he ran about 50 yds. before the final shot.

although , the skull was b.c., the impressive part was the body size. bear was aged by f.g. at 24 y.o.a.
