Buy MSR
Posted by cory100 on Feb 28 2005
After using North Face, Sierra Designs, Mt. Hardwear, Kelty, and MSR tents quite extensively, in different parts of the country, I would say go for the MSR.  Morth Face are generally good tents but I think generally complicated to set up and sometimes a bit heavier.  Mt. Hardwear the same and not as durable.  I purchased an MSR last fall and used it in New Zealand for 4 weeks in rain, snow, and sun.  Love it, easy to set up, never wet, and very little condensation.  Floor was thicker too than a comparable North Face.  I only got a 2/3 person so don't know what big tents they make, but I would highly recommend
