Himalyan 47
Posted by WinMag on Feb 26 2005
Make sure you've researched the archives for the above tent.  Sounds like it might fit the bill.  It is a northface Himalayan 47.

These are some exerpts from emails and forum archives.

....you are going to be a lot better off with the larger Himalayan 47. The Himalayan can easily accommodate three guys, even with cots, and it has plenty of headroom, but obviously you can't stand straight up in the thing. I really like the tent, and I am sure it will be a mainstay of our outfit for years to come....

...I have to add that I think the Himalayan 47 is a good choice for what you have in mind. This is the first year I have used the tent, but it fit the bill nicely for what I wanted. I needed a tent that could handle at least 4 men, since my Evolution 45's maxed out with 3. I also need it to be lightweight enough that it could be split up and packed with sheep hunting in mind. We did a good 3,000 ft. ascent with this tent in August and slept 5 grown men in the thing with some room left over on each end. The tent is a mansion for 2 men, if you are accustomed to smallish expedition tents, but it is way more than I would ever need for 2, or even 3 guys if it came to sheep hunting...
