[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] spring vs. fall Posted by wags on Feb 25 2005 I think that over-all a spring hunt is the best. During the spring hunt you get (depending on location)6-8 hours more of daylight per day in order to hunt, this greatly improves your odds of getting a bear - at least seeing more bears. Also, during the spring the weather is generaly getting a little better each day, whereas the opposite is true of the fall. A nice unrubbed spring is the best you can find. The only negative that I can think of regarding the spring hunt is that you have a chance of shooting a rubbed bear if you're not paying attention, especially late in the spring.
