Depends on use
Posted by Paul H on Feb 24 2005
If you're looking for a real light tent to be packed in on your back, or you are limited on weight in the plane, the answer would be different then if weight wasn't a concern.

If weight was a concern, I'd look at the new North Face Himalayan 47.  If you want light but with a stove, then one of Kiafuru's teepees would be the ticket.  If weigth wasn't a concern, I'd go with an Arctic oven.

You also might want to consider a black diamond megamid as a dry sport to store gear and food, and as an emergency back up shelter.

There is no one perfect tent, you just have to balance the compromises vs your application.
