food for thought (one day for the table!)
Posted by nickster on Jan 29 2005
Thanks for all the replies.  I had sort of thought moose might be too much to try for on a first time hunt, but Mike's idea has certainly given me something to think about.  I also have a buddy who bow hunts, and I target shot once upon a time, so will also consider Dave's option.  I've come to realize there isn't any "easy" hunt near Anchorage, but will certainly explore my options and may (if we can make a budget for it) attempt one of the less expensive fly outs.  Part of it will depend on which buddy I can talk into going out with.  Thanks again,
Nick
