you seem pretty knowledgable about the whole subject and explain things well. you should think about being a writer. that being said, with any good writing you will invoke more thought and question, so here it is. but before i go on let me ask you to please not divulge your squirrel hotspots. i don't need a hundred newbies runnin around my secret squirrel bait of black spruce cones (oops,i just divulged my secret bait) here in fairbanks(mmm,i just divulged my secret spot). my first question is i legally baiting squirrels here in alaska? next, i've been looking all over to find out how to measure those bigger buck squirrels for boone and crockett and can't find anything. i'm hoping it's based on squaring out the hide, because i have a stretching technique that can't be beat. if it's antlers, i'm afraid i've shot plenty of bucks, but not so much as forkie on top. when do they drop their racks? i'd love to get just one big one. finally, just as a reminder, there's no word in this thread about wanton waste. in addition to what "the man" is gonna do once he busts you and takes all your good borrowed hunting gear, i don't know if we're required to take all the meat in all the hunting zones. this is easily as good as sheep. especially the rib meat. finally i just want to mention that selling the tails to mepps is every bit as lucrative as license plate making (my old trade). thanks.
