Taylor Highway area moose
Posted by sal on Aug 31 2004
Was considering hunting near Chicken or somewhere else off the Taylor this year, but after seeing the fire maps I'm not sure it'll be worth it.  My main objective is to get my father out on what will probably be his last moose hunt.  Between his Parkinsons and a brain tumor, he really isn't all that mobile, and I figured this would be an area where we could either take trails off the road, or simply have him watch a meadow closer to the road system.  I've hunted the area many times in the past, but again the fires have me wondering.
Anybody have any insight or other ideas???
