Binoculars Zeiss vs. Steiner

I am in the market for some new binoculars, I have a budget of about $800. I think I have narrowed it down to the Zeiss 10x40 Classic and the Steiner 10x42 Merlins. Anyone out there have experience with these two or any recommendations on others? Thanks for the help.
