Whittier
Posted by dipnet on Feb 27 2006
I think that if you pay attention to the direction of the wind, you`ll find that if the wind is blowing from the West, Whittier will be terrible and challenging--however if you could get around Decision Point, you`ll find that this local weather will be negated.  To find the fish, just drift the uneven terrain around the island of your choice.  I personally prefer Naked and Knight Islands. I have caught them in 60` to 600`of water. This would include halibut, rockfish, cod, lingcod, skate, arrowtooth flounder, wolf eel,and shark.  Play the tide and check stomach contents for current menu. Match the hatch and hang on.
