deflating swim bladders
Posted by Ripface on Feb 25 2006
I'm looking for some ideas on how to deflate the swim bladders from throw-back fish caught deep in the saltwater, like smaller snapper for instance.  My thinking would be to pierce it with a small hypodermic needle.  But I don't think these needles would be readily available.  I don't have anything against feeding the eagles, but I'd prefer to grow the fisheries instead.  How do some of you approach this problem?  Would a thin needle be effective?
