To add to AKFG~ yes the Kenai can be busy at times as well as many other rivers that you may come upon as you travel North of Anchroage on the road system.  However you might be pleasently surprised when you arrive on August 1st only to see a parking lot that the day before held 100 + truck and trailer's only holding one or two.  The Kenai Pen. is a very over looked place starting in August.  It seems to be a time when everyone starts to head south or out to fill the freezer.  Lots of good fishing and solitude to be had here on the Kenai pen. through out the year.
