kenai too touristy?
Posted by kfcbb7 on Feb 25 2006
I have heard stories of thousnds of fishermen and a McDonalds on the Kenai. If this is true this would definately not be the place for us. We live near the ocean in eastern NC and when the trout and spots are running you could almost jump from boat to boat. All the what we call "dingbatters"flock here and it is a madhouse. The most fun is taking your lawnchair and a cooler of barley pops and watch the the mayhem at the boat ramp at the end of the day.Needless to say we are trying to avoid the crush. Is the Kenai anything even close to this?Or have I been misinformed? Thanks for any input.Mike R.
