Shop around brother! When I decided to come up I spent 2 months camping and traveling around the state. I hoped on the Ferry and visited SE and went any place that there was a road. The wild thing was after 6 months in Glennallen working for the BLM I ended up in Kotzebue! I never dreamed of the Arctic. Remember that there is a whole world that has no real roads out there and the lifestyle is not for everyone but it works for me! NW Alaska has 4 National Parks and miles of rivers and too many mountains to even name and lets not forget the biggest Caribou population in the state!

   The great thing is a guy who is flexible can find good work in any hub community and the state has something to offer for all of us.
