bring it on

Tracker,  you will not be sorry you did this, only sorry you waited so long. I moved up a year ago, my wife got a job offer here, and I am in hog heaven now. I am working 3 part-time jobs (maybe 35 hrs/week total) but am not too worried about getting a job in my field right away. If you choose Soldotna, you will of course have quite a bit of company, but probably something you can learn to deal with by making extra effort to hike/paddle in to places. Sometimes if you can't drive, park, walk 50 feet and fish, people think it is too much trouble to go through. Lots of people up here don't even fish in fresh water, they go in salt and have a great time, as well.
good luck in your new life!     Kid
