Budget DIY trip

I don't see how your numbers work for your trip. $500 for a 3 week vehicle rental? 7 day float trip for $195? My motor home rental is my largest single expense. Our next trip is shaping up to look like 3 people, 2 for 2 weeks & 1 person staying only 1 week for around $3K. Food and rental mileage are the only remaining variable expenses. I do take advantage of my military benefits and use the base commisary for groceries.
