some more info

Chuit, as I said above, is closed to Kings in July, so go late in July to get silvers.  Spernak runs a schedule there from Merrill Field, it is around $100 bucks a person plus luggage charge per pound.  You can catch dollies aplenty on globugs.  There are some rainbows in the Chuit, but common size, nothin special.  There are a couple other small streams (Lewis and Theodore), which also have silvers and dollies, (closed to kings).  As for accomodations and guides, ask Spernak. There's not a whole bunch of  stuff out there, but there are a couple  places to crash that are pretty decent (small cabins, the bunkhouse, a couple camps).

The word on the Alagnak is float the upper part early in July.  Millions of red salmon (allegedly, they bite on this river when green), and monster trout.  You fly commercial to King Salmon ($? guess around 400), and then charter a small bushplane for a drop-off and pick-up.  A whole bunch of guides and guided trips are available.  Where I live in California, one of the local fly shops goes there at least twice each July in small groups - I would think it would run $1,500-2000 for a guided float plus whatever it costs to get to King Salmon.  There are some lodges I've heard about, but they are more pricey, kill fish, attract bears, and run jet boats and I am not into any of that.
