The bush pilot charges $500/trip their and back. I used Buck Maxton at Arctic Air Guides in Aug 2004 and he was great. You can rent a raft of canoe from Walt at northwestalaska.com. He has an outfitter store in Kotzebue and is a super nice guy. It is some of the best fishing for char and grayling available. And total seclusion. We saw hundred of caribou and 21 brown bears on 38 miles of the Kelly River. It is not an easy place to get to and that is what makes it worth seeing. Beautiful River that is emerald green and Mts along side most of the trip. Absolutely beatiful.
