Chuit River
Posted by Steelieguy on Jan 30 2006
I am looking to catch some big coastal Kings preferrably in a small uncrowded river in the later part of June.  I hear the Chuitna River
south west of Anchorage may fit the bill.  However, not sure if the run size is what it use to be? Spoke to Dennis Torrey owner of the Chuit River lodge, and he said a lot of locals net the river fairly heavely.  River access can also be a probelm in the lower sections due to native owned land.
Has anyone had favorable fishing experiences on the river? Would I be better off flying into the Nushagak.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mark
