Risk of loosing pots
Posted by jrogers on Jan 26 2006
I use the ring / buoy with my anchor, but an electric puller with my pots. I have a friend that lost several pots on a string from the force of the ring hitting the pot and knocking it off. If you were to use a ring and buoy, I would recommend putting a big ring or something in your line before the pots start on the rope so you don't risk knocking them off like this.
