Wow. At $489 plus shipping on eBay, I see what you mean about spendy. What provides the "grip" on the pot line on those pullers? Do they rely on friction on the large pulley, teeth in the pulley, or does that pulley somehow "bite" the line like the rope-walking come-alongs do? If a person makes his own, that is the critical element, obviously. Thanks. j
