  You are better off using an electric pot puller.  When using an anchor ring, you have to pull it up to fast and it tends to wash shrimp out of the pot.  Plus you have to turn around and go back to your pot allowing more time for escapees to head back down.  Using a manual pot puller would take a long time, and when you stop to take a break, the shrimp will be looking for a way out.  The key is to have constant pressure to keep the shrimp pinned at the bottom of the pot, but not to much that you wash them out.  That is why the electric pot puller or gas models are better than hand pulled or anchor ring method...
