pulling pots
Posted by buzby on Jan 21 2006
I have pulled pots by hand and with a ring and buoy. The buoy works fine except you take a chance on losing shrimp. I know its seems strange but those little suckers will fall out of that little hole. I have looked into gas/electric pot pullers and WOW are they proud of them. I am currently building my own manual puller using a pulley. I will let you know how it works out. Also I have found that it is easier to chase your buoy with an outboard as it responds better to quicker turns.
