It can be done!
Posted by floridafisherman on Jan 18 2006
Three thousand total, for three of us, not each! We won't be eating beans either.  Key is the air fare for us...regular fare would be about $600. per ticket.  by using coupons frequent flyer miles ect saved over 50%.  Next most costly item is the rental vehicle which I was able to accomplish privately for $500. plus gas for estimated 1500 miles totals at $600.  Float trip @ $195.000 ect. ect..... It can be done!  I've done it before and I am doing it again! Please do not assume I am bragging but the following illustrates what I am trying to communicate..."After hiking for a little less than a mile we found a small river that was easily waded in all but the deeper holes.   It was a crytal clear river and the abundant salmon were easy to spot.  The number of fish was incredible and it took little time for all of us to be hooked up.  During the remainder of that day we caught and released all five species of Pacific Salmon and if that weren't enough I had also released three rainbows up to 20 inches.  We hiked back to our motorhome in something of a daze nearly giddey with such an exciting day.  The fact that we had such phenomenal good fishing began to create suspicion that maybe we were in a place that fishing wasn't allowed.  I rechecked the regs just to make sure we were legal! We had not seen another sole all day and returned the following day for a repeat with the exact same result.
