Folks over on the hunting forum often say the same thing...that you must fly out to get into good sheep or moose hunting and that a hunt of quality and solitude can only be had for thousands of dollars. I'm a member of your school of thought, however. For years I have been doing my homework and my legwork and have found many places that I can access via the road (and perhaps a hike) where I can find phenomenal fishing and hunting. I hate to see people get discouraged on here when they're told otherwise and their dreams of an Alaskan adventure seem to fade. Thanks for sharing your thoughts...and keep them coming!
