Small bears on the Russian
Posted by Steelieguy on Jan 11 2006
It's unfortunate the two cubs have learned some bad habits.  Can you blame them for taking salmon on a stringer (easy pickens).  They're a by product of their (combat fishing) environment, with no fear of humans. If there were no fisherman they would have to learn to catch fish. By rights this is the bears territory, and people are encroaching on their habitat.  It would not be an issue if they were in a remote area.  Hopefully we can co-exist and share ther river without someone getting hurt, or a bear killed.
