[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] fishing Posted by Steven Horton on Jan 03 2006 I'm not a deep sea angler. I never venture more than 2 miles off of the coast. Down here in California I'm blessed with the gentle side of the Pacific. In spite of that though I still never venture too far off shore. I'm really interested in your Salmon and Ling Cod near shore or in the bays. With that in mind I'm hoping my boat is enough to handle it. I also don't chance it with weather even down here. I've got all of the safety equipment (two GPS's, VHF, strobe lights etc..) but once again I don't chance it. Too much to live for I guess. I get wet down here when the wind is kicking up from spray but I always figured that was just apart of fishing in saltwater. With where I'm sitting now and the way I look at things I think I'm at least not setting my self up for disaster. Does this sound correct?
