Suitable boat for Alaska waters

What would you Alaska residents say would be an ideal boat for fishing rivers, bays and ocean up there in Alaska. I've got a 19' Crestliner aluminum deep v hull CC. Is this the type of boat that would be adequate for fishing up there? Thank you for any information.
