Good to eat

Dmac,

Reds provide a nice fight but if that is what you are really after, kings, silvers, and even chums are better quarry.  On an ultra light even pinks can be fun for a while.  After you taste a fresh chrome bright red, however, you'll understand why so many people put up with the nonsense you encounter on the Kenai/Russian.

I prefer to catch reds with a net to fill the freezer and then go after silvers with a rod and reel.
