I fished with Saltwater Safari Company out of Seward this summer < http://www.saltwatersafari.com/ >.  The drive down is beautiful, it's an hour or two closer than either Ninilchik or Homer, and the fishing is great.  We limited on halibut and ling cod, plus boated a bunch of silvers.  At one point we had seven ling cod on at a time!  The scenery out of Seward is beautiful too!  I used to fish Homer years ago when I had a boat, but once I started fishing Seward, I never looked back.  It's great.
