Fly shop hoppin
Posted by akflyfisher on Jul 31 2005
Max,
This was one thing I always did when I lived in PA, stop at all any fly shops. Unfortunately here in AK there are mostly "Fishing Shops". Some have great fly fishing gear and are more tailored to the fly fisherman but they don't have that same feel.
One shop that I was impressed with was the one in Wasilla but for the life of me I can't remember the name. The Troutfitters in Cooper Landing was another good one.
If you do make to Kodiak, Cy's can be great place to stop. I worked there for a while so I am impartial on that one.
If there any shops that any other locals know of, please pass it on, so that I can make a point to stop.
