Bite
Posted by Terry Sacora on Jul 29 2005
I was lucky enough to catch Reds one after another one time at Haley creek at Chitina using an ultra light rod, with 4 pound test line using a lead head jig meant for a rubber tailed jig. I was fishing for Dollies  and the rubber tail came off. The lead was bright and shiny in the sun and the sockeys tore it up. As soon as the sun went behind a cloud they showed no interest and then resumed when the sun shone again. They would chase that little tiny lure down and engulf it. This is the only time I've had this experience but they were biting with no question.
