if you want to fish from shore, i would suggest parking your truck and boat either at the safeway grocery store (or any other large parking lots in the close area) or right in the visitors area across the bridge in soldotna, where you can walk under the bridge and fish from shore, or the dock which is open to public. if that parking is taken, or too small, there are plenty of places to park nearby if your up for a little walk to the bridge.  the bride is right on the sterling highway, past fred meyer and dairy queen.
