Saltwater Safaris
Posted by Michael Strahan on Jun 29 2005
You might check with Saltwater Safari Company too < http://www.saltwatersafari.com/ >.  I've fished with them several times and they've always worked hard for me.  They have big, fast boats; this translates into faster trips to the fishing grounds and more fishing time.  They really have the halibut dialed in (last time I went with them I caught a 115 lb. fish).  I'm going with them on a combo charter (halibut, coho salmon and rockfish) in the next few days and will try to let you know how we did.  I only have one day between that trip and our float on the Goodnews River, so I may not get to the report until after we return...

Another good one is Admiral Charters < http://www.ptialaska.net/~akfishin/ >  I've fished with them several times and they do a great job.  My favorite captain with Admiral is Bill Jones, but Mr. Millican is good too (or so I hear).  Bill's favorite thing is trolling huge jigs for ling cod, but he's gotten me into huge halibut too!

Anyway, worth a look.

Best of luck!

-Mike
