Fishing in Late July either Soldotna Seward

I am going to be in AK for work the last week of July and would like to get a day of fishing in before returning to Minnesota. I am looking for some recommendations in either Soldtona (Kenai) or Seward. I am looking for a place to stay and/or a good charter. Looking to river fish or salt water. Please let me know which I should focus on. I would like to be able to bring some fish back to Minnesota with me. Thanks for your help.
