Kenai River or Talkeetna Area?

I'm going to be visiting Alaska for 10 days in late August / early September. I have two opportunities to spend a day fishing for rainbows but I need to pick just one day. Would it be better to fish the Kenai River or one of the rivers in the Talkeetna area? I'm looking for big 'bows but lots of action. I'm planning to do a guided trip with a local guideservice. Any help with my decision would be greatly appreciated.
