Tough July Show
Posted by Bob Ball - Piscatorial Pursuits on Apr 22 2005
While July fishing from a boat can often be very productive ... the bank fishing for the 2nd run of kings is a really tough show for the bank-bound crowd.

Unlike the first-run fish, they don't tend to congregate in any areas with bank access and the much higher flows of July make the whole propisition tougher regardless of numbers / positioning of fish in the river.

The little streams' king season will be long over ... but for smaller species, you'll have some opportunity. Certainly don't overlook flipping reds in the Kenai ... while technically not the most sporting fishery ... it's still a load of fun ;)
