Fishing/Hiking
Posted by tail hunter on Feb 26 2005
Two great options for fishing and hiking close to Anchorage.

Go to Whittier, take a charter boat out.  Swee' Pea can take you fishing then if you can book a Forest Service cabin you can stay in the wilderness or go on the Good Times and live aboard while fishing and hiking.

Don't spend all your time driving back and forth and staying in Anchorage hotels.

Those two charter boats are very good.  Swee' Pea is at fishwhittier.com  The Good Times is at alaskagoodtimecharters.com
