June flyfishing for bows, grayling & dollies.
Posted by greyghost on Feb 20 2005
Hi..My family and I are going to be taking a cruise up to Alaska and we plan on staying an extra week from 6/3-6/11...Simply put, if I'm in Alaska, I'm going to fish..I want to concentrate on the above species and try to keep it simple as possible. I don't intend on bringing all my accoutrements of destruction with me and want to limit my equipment. Additionally, although I could do some float trips, I would like to do some reasonable exploring on my own..What advice can you provide for the
Seward area as a starting point and Anchorage as departing? Should I be looking at fly outs? Any particular guide service recommended? I'm a newbie to Alaska, any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Don
