Manufacturers seem to be updating these lines constantly.  AKCapt I like what you said about Berkley having the smallest diameter, how long ago was it that you researched that?

I think I will drop down to 80#, probably not lower because I HATE losing gear.  I've had a break off with my 100# line.  It was after the tide had turned and we were on anchor.  I hooked into a huge skate.  When he came to the top he positioned his wings just right to start twisting and turning away from the boat.  Thumbs on the reel as he was pulling away, I finally broke and went flying backwards.  He left with a 5# lead hanging from his lip.  There was some justice.
