[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] good choice Posted by Pelican on Jan 27 2005 Yakutat has extremely good king fishing. I've fished the Situk river in early July when the Kings & Sockeye were in the river. I've fished the Kenai also, and if I had my choice I would definitely without a doubt take Yakutat. You get a true Alaska Experience there. The kings aren't quite as big as the late run Kenai fish but the are comparable to the June Kenai fish. I would be willing to bet that you would catch more fish in Yakutat but slightly smaller. The halibut and kings in the saltwater can be great too. Give it a shot and pay a little extra to stay away from the Kenai zoo. Previous: More info Pelican Jan 28 2005 Message Thread:
