http://www.cf.adfg.state.ak.us/region2/news/pws/99outlk.php It is for the 1999 season. All dates should be close to the 'o5 runs. B&J sells herring jigs for about $3 ea. They are very very small gold hooks with a bead. About 7 hooks per set up. (some have a white feather)Ask for "Tom" at B&J's and he will hook you up.. Unless you are fishing herring for fun or food, I would suggest buying your herring from Alaska Bait Co. $20 for a 38 lbs. We burn up a box a weekend between fishing and shrimp pots.
