go after 9/1 and forget other spp
Posted by stevesch on Jan 26 2005
1. thoughts/reccs - no - those two are both redhot for silvers; both have variety of road and bushflight accessible locations.

2. accomodations/costs - more or less same - need to make reservations early; could otherwise get shut out; higher end stuff available I'm sure but I don't go for that...usually a remote cabin or modest motel/kitchenette is fine for me.  Something to keep the rain out is all.  heck...I've brought a good tent and been happy with that(most don't).  bushflight rates seem higher in kodiak.

3. if possible, go after 9/1 (mainland, in either location); otherwise you risk not having much to fish for, at least in freshwater.  Some exceptions to this - mainly on larger nearby islands.

4. don't bother with dollies or rainbows
