big lake tips
Posted by Zach on Feb 11 2003

To catch fish on big lake, I always jigged a rapala or a large crocodile. In order to do any good, you gotta be really patient. I grew up on Big lake, and I have fished many hours in many places on it. Late march/early april is when I hade my best luck. The largest char I ever pulled out was about 7 and a half pounds. I had a friend who caught a couple 10 pounders though. The best places are off  saddle back Island, and burston Island. Burnt point can still produce, but its not worth the crowd.
