Jet in PWS
Posted by jrogers on Mar 15 2006
You see a lot of jet boats out there. I have a 24' Duckworth, and use it in PWS more than anywhere else. I generally stay away from seaweed, and it has not caused a problem. You definately get slowed down when it gets rough, and you need to be careful of your range, since if it is smooth I can get twice the mileage as when it gets rough and I am most of the way off step. I have trim tabs on my boat, and this helps it in rough water, but still slows things down a lot. They are great when it is a flat day and you can cruise near 40MPH though.
