I run a Garmin 250C sounder and a Garmin 172C GPS with a chart. I don't like everything wrapped up in one unit. Another piece of advice is to not rely on a chart when in unfamiliar waters. There are lots of submerged rocks and reefs in the sound that are not charted and some of the area has changed since the '64 quake and the charts in some areas haven't been updated. Take it easy and keep a look-out.
Working on the boat today.... Can't wait till summer.
